چکیده
Abstract Background Ischemic stroke (IS) is one of the most frequent causes death. Since miRNAs have been illustrated to play an important role in various processes through regulation multiple genes, and platelet function, their utility as novel biomarkers should be determined. Purpose We aimed analyze circulating platelet-derived miR-19a-3p, miR-186-5p, Let-7f, platelet-extracellular vesicles (EVs), leukocyte-EVs, endothelial-EVs levels 24-h 7-days after IS diagnostic prognostic/predictive 28 acute 35 control patients. Methods Blood samples patients diagnosed with hyper reactivity were collected age- gender-matched individuals free risk factors for cardiovascular disease. Platelet was assessed by AA-, TRAP-, ADP-induced aggregometry. PlasmaRNA extracted; quality RNA assessed: fluorometric assay; RT-PCR expression measurement flow-cytometry EVs determination p<0.05. Results Patients on day-1 had significantly higher AA-induced aggregometry compared controls (p=0.001). normal activation miR-186-5p HPR at acute-stroke (p=0.034). Seven days stroke, decreased same (p=0.036). elevated platelet-EVs (CD62) concentration day 1 (p=0.012). Similarly, leukocyte-EVs (CD45) function (p=0.002). Diagnostic values baseline evaluated receiver operating characteristic curve analysis. ROC showed that pooling miR-19a-3p expressions, platelet-EVs, yielded a AUC than value each individual biomarker 0.893 (95% CI, 0.79–0.99). moderate minor IS. analysis 0.867, 0.74–0.10) p=0.001. Safety and feasibility of intravenous thrombolytic therapy in Iranian patients with acute ischemic stroke
Background: Thrombolytic therapy is the only approved treatment for acute cerebral ischemia. The hemorrhagic transformation is the greatest complication of this treatment, which may occur after recanalization of occluded artery. The aim of this study was to determine factors associated with clinical improvement and worsening in patients with acute ischemic stroke treated with intravenous th...

dysphagia in acute ischemic stroke
Introduction: Swallowing dysfunction complicates acute strokes in 25-32% of cases and directly affects patientschr('39') prognosis and recovery. Dysphagia complicates the course of acute strokes through its potential of the development of chest infection, nutritional problems, and dehydration. Dysphagia is also an independent predictor of respiratory morbidity and mortality in acute stroke. In...
متن کاملThe Relation between GABA and L-Arginine Levels with some Stroke Risk Factors in Acute Ischemic Stroke Patients
Changes in extra and intracellular neurotransmitter amino acids concentration in the early stage of acute cerebral ischemia have been reported. In this the study, serum level of gamma aminobutyric acid (GABA) and L-Arginine in acute ischemic stroke patients was assessed. 60 patients with acute ischemic stroke and sixthy healthy volunteers as a control group were assessed. Serum GABA was measure...

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE The dynamics of leukocyte infiltration in human cerebral ischemia were studied using technetium-99m hexamethylpropyleneamine oxime (99mTc HMPAO)-labeled leukocyte brain single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT). METHODS Twenty-two patients diagnosed as having hemispheric ischemic stroke were examined with 99mTc HMPAO brain SPECT for cerebral blood flow study an...
